St. Joseph’s took part in a very enjoyable First Year Futsal Tournament in Davitt College on Tuesday. Many thanks to Paul Byrne FAI Development Coach and Ashley Jensen for an enjoyable occasion. St. Joseph’s were very well represented by Amy Mahon, who pulled off many great saves as goalkeeper for her school, these eye-catching performances were commented on by other schools. Leah O’Grady who was very dependable and nearly came up with a goal. Kevin McCormack was a revelation with his great all round play. Donny Durkan, a very skilful performance and quite a few goals to show for his efforts including a hat-trick against Achill. Kacper Gawalkiewicz scored a wonder goal against Kiltimagh, Ibrahamovich-like in clinical finishing. James Conway proved that he was a better forward than a defender and contributed a nice goal. Keelin Devine put in a great shift on a surface that suited his skills and Jake Casey was as dependable as ever while Fiachrae Regan gave his all for the team.
